It’s All About the Dog

When Dogs Don’t Like You, It’s Time to Worry

Not everyone is going to like you—and that’s okay. Maybe you talk too much. Maybe you don’t talk enough. Maybe you aggressively defend pineapple on pizza (a battle best left alone).

But here’s the thing: human opinions are fickle. One person’s “I can’t stand them” is another person’s “They’re my favorite human on Earth.” You’ll never please everyone, and frankly, life is too short to try.

However. Dogs.

Dogs are different. Dogs possess an innate ability to sense the very essence of a person’s soul. They don’t care about your job title, your wardrobe choices, or how many unread emails haunt your inbox. They just know if you’re good.

If a dog looks at you and immediately takes three steps back, eyes narrowed in suspicion—reflect. Reevaluate. Do some soul-searching. If multiple dogs greet you like a tax collector, the answer is clear: you need to work on yourself.

But if dogs love you? If they wag their tails uncontrollably, insist you throw a slobbery tennis ball, and follow you as though you are the bringer of all great things? You’re golden. No further validation needed.

Because in the grand scheme of life, approval from strangers fades—but a dog’s trust? That’s forever.
